    Reputed Gang Leader Charged After Being Caught on School Compound with Modified Glock, Ammo

    KINGSTON, Jamaica – Orlando Grant, a reputed gang chief also referred to as ‘Rufus’ or ‘Glasses Man’, has been formally charged after being apprehended on a faculty compound on Easter Monday with a modified Glock-19 pistol and 50 rounds of ammunition.

    The 33-year-old, who hails from a Grants Pen, Kingston 8 deal with, is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition. His arrest follows years of efforts by safety forces to seize him.

    Grant was nabbed round 8:10 p.m. throughout a police operation at a faculty within the Mannings Hill district. Officers say he was carrying a black one-strap bag throughout his chest, which contained a black Glock 19 9mm pistol with a transparent prolonged journal, a black Glock journal, and 50 nine-millimetre cartridges. The weapon had been modified with an invisi-switch plate, changing it into a totally automated firearm, generally known as a “Chip Glock.”

    In keeping with police, Grant informed them he had discovered the weapon on the varsity grounds. He doesn’t possess a firearm licence or allow.
