Residents in a number of St. Mary communities are actually below curfew following a police directive geared toward lowering rising rigidity and addressing public security dangers within the parish.

The restriction covers designated sections of Boscobel, Stewart City, Robins Bay, and Nutfield in Islington, together with elements of Tree Hill, Oxford, and Geddes City. Regulation enforcement officers confirmed that the order took impact at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and is scheduled to stay in place till 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12.

Superintendent Anthony Wallace, who heads the St. Mary Police Division, mentioned the curfews had been launched as a part of focused efforts to stabilize the affected areas and forestall additional incidents.

In keeping with Wallace, the zones recognized are recognized to be frequented by people linked to legal exercise, working between the Oracabessa and Port Maria policing districts, notably close to Stewart City and Gully Highway.

He acknowledged that current developments have weakened residents’ sense of safety, prompting speedy intervention by the police to revive order and defend neighborhood members.
