    ODPP accepted Jolyan Silvera’s manslaughter plea, because it didn’t have evidence of what happened when his wife Melissa was killed

    The Workplace of the Director of Public Prosecutions says it accepted the plea to the lesser offence of manslaughter within the Jolyan Silvera homicide trial, because it didn’t have proof of what occurred when his spouse Melissa Silvera was killed.

    In a press release this morning, the DPP’s workplace explains that having heard Mr. Silvera’s account of what occurred when he shot his spouse, the prosecution took the choice after assessing the proof and topic to the court docket’s approval.
