ST ANN, JAMAICA — A St Ann man has been charged after police reportedly seized 17 rounds of ammunition throughout an operation at his dwelling in Ocho Rios on Thursday, September 4.

The accused has been recognized as 60-year-old blockmaker Clayton Whyte, of Backstreet, Nice Pond. He has since been charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Stories are that about 3:00 p.m., a group of lawmen from the Ocho Rios Police performed a focused operation at Whyte’s premises.

Throughout a search of a storeroom inside the home, officers allegedly found the ammunition.

Whyte was arrested on the spot and later charged. He’s now awaiting a courtroom look.
