Noboa insisted that these assaults sought to “destabilize his authorities”

Ecuadorean President Daniel Noboa mentioned Wednesday that unlawful mining mafias have been behind the automobile bomb assault in Guayaquil and two subsequent explosions. He claimed these actions have been in retaliation towards the federal government’s measures within the conflict-ridden Imbabura province.

Noboa said that these coordinated assaults are a part of a legal plan to “destabilize his authorities” and “forestall us from doing issues proper.” He warned that the criminals concerned could be jailed and vowed to not again down.

The assaults coincide with an indefinite nationwide strike referred to as by the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) towards the elimination of diesel subsidies, including to the nation’s excessive tensions.
