WASHINGTON — On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Nationwide Regulation Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), in partnership with the Nationwide Freeway Visitors Security Administration (NHTSA), will host a full-day discussion board targeted on lowering traffic-related fatalities and accidents amongst regulation enforcement officers.
The occasion, titled Law Enforcement Traffic Fatalities: A Solutions-Based Forum, will happen from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET on the Nationwide Regulation Enforcement Museum in Washington, D.C. Digital attendance can be obtainable.
Prompted by a troubling rise in line-of-duty deaths as a result of visitors incidents, the discussion board will highlight coaching, expertise and coverage options to reinforce officer security on roadways. In 2024, NLEOMF tracked 46 officer traffic-related deaths and over 200 damage incidents involving automobiles. A surge in roadside struck-by crashes and pursuit-related incidents has added to the urgency.
The occasion will function shows, expertise demos and panel discussions with main voices in visitors security, together with:
