    ERIN, THANKS. WELL, GOVERNOR KAY IVEY GIVING THE FINAL APPROVAL TODAY ON A NEW STATE LAW THAT CLARIFIES WHO COULD BE CHARGED WITH IMPERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER. IVEY SIGNED SENATE BILL 115, WHICH ADDS MORE LANGUAGE TO THE EXISTING LAW THAT THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE SAYS ELIMINATES THE LOOPHOLE. IVEY SAYS, QUOTE, EVERY ALABAMIAN DESERVES TO KNOW THAT THE MEN AND WOMEN ENTRUSTED WITH ENFORCING OUR LAWS ARE FULLY QUALIFIED A

    Gov. Kay Ivey signed Senate Invoice 115, the Officer Impersonation Prevention Act, on Friday.It was sponsored by Sen. Clyde Chambliss and Rep. Ron Bolton.The invoice identifies a number of ways in which an individual is taken into account to be impersonating a regulation enforcement officer, which is a Class C felony.To learn the total invoice, click on right here.
