    Murder Accused Dies in Custody in Portmore, Investigation Launched

    ST. CATHERINE, Jamaica – The Inspectorate of Skilled Requirements Oversight Bureau (IPROB) and the Unbiased Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) have collectively launched an investigation into the dying of an inmate on the Portmore lockups in St. Catherine.

    The deceased has been recognized as 22-year-old Jerome Hayles, whose tackle is listed as 7 Rainford Street, Kingston.

    In keeping with reviews, at roughly 8:35 a.m. on Monday, Hayles, who was in custody on a cost of homicide, complained of feeling unwell. He was subsequently transported to the Spanish City Hospital for medical consideration.

    Regardless of being taken to the hospital, Jerome Hayles succumbed to his sickness and was pronounced lifeless.

    The joint probe by IPROB and INDECOM will search to find out the circumstances surrounding Hayles’s sickness whereas in custody and the next occasions resulting in his dying.
