    Motorcyclist killed while lane-splitting, Thornton police say

    A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday morning whereas trying to drive between lanes, in line with Thornton police.

    The person, who has not been publicly recognized, was driving the bike on E. 144th Avenue between Washington and Franklin streets at about 8:15 a.m. when he crashed into the again of a pickup truck and died, Officer Kimberly Twinem stated, noting that the investigation into the crash is within the early levels.

    Witnesses reported the motorcyclist was “touring at a excessive charge of pace,” she stated. Nobody else was damage within the crash. The realm across the crash was closed for a number of hours Friday morning for the investigation.

    The driving force of the truck stayed on the scene after the crash, Twinem stated.
