    Mother Fatally Shoots Daughter Before Taking Own Life, Police Say

    LAS VEGAS — A 38-year-old mom and her daughter, a younger cheerleader, have been discovered lifeless inside a lodge room on the Rio Resort & On line casino in Las Vegas in what authorities are treating as an obvious murder-suicide, police confirmed Monday.

    Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have been known as to the lodge on Sunday after the pair, who had travelled from Utah to compete in a cheerleading occasion, missed commitments and couldn’t be reached, in response to investigators.

    Resort safety later entered the room and found each victims unresponsive. Early findings by murder detectives point out the mom shot her daughter earlier than turning the weapon on herself. A handwritten word believed to be linked to the incident was additionally recovered on the scene.

    Associates and members of the Utah cheerleading neighborhood recognized the daughter as a pre-teen competitor with Utah Xtreme Cheer, and confirmed each she and her mom have been in Las Vegas for the competitors. In social media posts, teammates and coaches expressed shock and sorrow over the deaths.

    Police proceed their investigation and haven’t launched the names of the victims pending notification of relations. Officers say there is no such thing as a ongoing risk to the general public.

    Authorities urge anybody with data associated to the incident to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Division.
