    Mother Demands Justice After Son Fatally Shot in Alleged Police Incident in Nannyville

    KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tensions are excessive in Nannyville Gardens after a pre-dawn police operation left a 27-year-old man useless inside his dwelling on Monday. His mom, Rosemarie Walker, is asking for justice and says she plans to take the matter to the Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM).

    Walker informed Mckoy’s Information that round 3:00 a.m., her daughter heard knocking on the again door, claiming it gave the impression of police. When Walker opened the door, she mentioned she was met by armed officers.

    “I mentioned, ‘What’s the issue?’ Them come. I mentioned, ‘You have got a warrant to go looking?’ They mentioned sure, however they by no means give me no warrant,” Walker recounted.

    She alleged that the police entered the home and went straight to the room of her son, Nicardo Lewis, who was along with his child. In response to Walker, officers took the toddler from Lewis, handed the kid to a person she described as her boyfriend, after which shot Lewis.

    Walker additionally claimed that one other son, who ran to the lavatory, was threatened by police, who allegedly positioned a gun in his hand and fired a shot.

    “My son shouldn’t be a gunman. My son reside inside right here along with his one-year-old child they usually take the child out of my son hand and homicide my little one. I would like justice for my son,” Walker mentioned, visibly shaken.

    The police have confirmed an incident occurred in Nannyville and say investigations are ongoing, however they haven’t but launched the identification of the deceased.

    INDECOM is anticipated to launch an impartial probe because the group requires solutions in regards to the circumstances surrounding Lewis’s demise.
