Over 140 Jamaicans will this 12 months obtain Nationwide Honours and Awards for excellent contribution to the nation in numerous fields.
Heading the record of award recipients, which was printed on Wednesday (August 6) are businessman Keith Duncan; Native Authorities and Neighborhood Growth Minister, Hon. Desmond McKenzie; and Managing Director of the Jamaica Inventory Change (JSE), Dr. Marlene Avenue Forrest, who’ve been appointed members of the Order of Jamaica (OJ).
Mr. Duncan, who’s JMMB Group Chief Govt Officer is being recognised for distinctive service within the subject of Finance, Enterprise and Social Growth.
Minister McKenzie will obtain the OJ for distinctive contribution to the Public Service within the space of Native Authorities and Neighborhood Growth and Representational Politics, whereas Dr. Avenue Forrest is being honoured for distinctive Service within the subject of Capital Market Growth.
Everlasting Secretary within the Ministry of Trade Funding and Commerce, Sancia Bennett Templer; Olympian, Yohan Blake; businessman William Mahfood; and Well being and Wellness Minister, Dr. the Hon. Christopher Tufton, are amongst 35 individuals to obtain membership within the Order of Distinction within the rank of Commander (CD).

The awards shall be offered on the investiture ceremony on Nationwide Heroes Day, October 20.
