    Ministry renews contracts for 86 ECCE Educators – Jamaica Inquirer

    The Ministry of Schooling has renewed the employment contracts of 86 Early Childhood Care and Schooling (ECCE) lecturers and trainer assistants.  

    The renewed contracts, efficient for a interval of three years, embody 13 lecturers and 73 trainer assistants whose present contractual durations have expired. 

    Talking on the renewal, Dr Michael Dowlath, Minister of Schooling, said: “This contract renewal displays our agency dedication to strengthening early childhood training in Trinidad and Tobago.” 

    Presently, there are 143 operational Authorities and Authorities-Assisted ECCE Centres nationwide, serving 5 5,324 enrolled college students. 

    The ECCE Division throughout the MOE holds main duty for the developmental wants of youngsters aged three to 5 years-old, and maintains oversight of ECCE Centres all through the nation, together with these which are government-assisted.  

    This division additionally works collaboratively with the Division of Schooling, Analysis and Expertise (DERTech) in Tobago guaranteeing the constant supply of high quality early childhood training.
