    Minister of Tradition, Gender, Leisure and Sport, Hon. Olivia Grange, has charged Jamaicans to honour their accountability to guard the nation.

    Referencing the patriotic track, ‘Jamaica Land of Magnificence’ by A.L. Hendricks and Lloyd Corridor, Minister Grange stated it aptly sums up that Jamaica is a divine reward.

    “From riverside to mountain, from cane area to the ocean, our hearts salute Jamaica, triumphant, proud and free. It’s an thrilling reminder of how richly we’re blessed however greater than that, the track calls us to motion. Jamaica, land of magnificence, we promise faithfully to serve thee with our abilities and produce our items to thee,” she stated.

    The Minister was addressing Sunday’s (Could 18) Nationwide Staff’ Week and Labour Day Thanksgiving Church Service, held at Portmore Holiness Christian Church in St. Catherine.

    “Allow us to renew that promise. Allow us to honour not solely the great thing about our land but additionally the deep accountability all of us share in defending it,” Ms. Grange stated.

    Labour Day 2025 can be noticed beneath the theme ‘Shield the Surroundings: Our Land, Our Obligation, Our Future’, with the slogan, ‘Jamaica Good, Shield Wi Paradise’.

    The Minister emphasised that Jamaicans owe it to themselves, to those that got here earlier than them and to the generations but to come back, to safeguard the nation.

    The institution of the Environmental and Analysis Park at Mason River in Clarendon has been chosen because the 2025 Nationwide Labour Day Challenge.

    In the meantime, the Minister praised the stalwarts whose sweat, sacrifice and wrestle laid the muse for the freedoms Jamaicans now get pleasure from and in addition praised the employees who construct the nation every single day.
