    Man Fined After Taking Cop’s Phone During Sumfest Stampede

    Montego Bay, St James (McKoy’s Information) – An evening of leisure at Reggae Sumfest resulted in court docket for Davian Crooks, who was fined $50,000 after being caught with a police officer’s telephone following a stampede.

    The incident occurred round 4:40 a.m. on July 19, when a deputy superintendent’s Samsung Galaxy Observe 9 was misplaced within the crowd surge. Regardless of searches, the telephone wasn’t recovered on the venue.

    Police later tracked it to Lightbody Avenue, the place it was present in Crooks’ possession. He admitted to taking it after the incident.

    Crooks was charged with larceny by discovering and sentenced within the St James Parish Courtroom on Wednesday.
