    Man Fatally Shot, Policeman Injured in Negril Gunfight

    Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s Information) – A Westmoreland man is lifeless and a police officer nursing gunshot wounds following a fiery shootout within the early hours of Thursday morning in Tank Lane, Negril.

    The lifeless man has been recognized as Niarrie Richardson, in any other case recognized on the streets as “Draco”.

    Studies are that round 4:34 a.m., a workforce of lawmen was conducting a pre-dawn operation at a premises in Tank Lane after they got here beneath heavy gunfire from an alleged gunman.

    Sources say Richardson, believed to be armed with a handgun, reportedly challenged the police, resulting in a quick however intense gun battle.

    When the smoke cleared, each Richardson and one officer had been discovered affected by gunshot wounds.

    A loaded pistol, fitted with six 9mm rounds, was reportedly taken from the deceased.

    Richardson was rushed to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.

    The injured officer is claimed to be in secure situation.

    The Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has since launched a probe into the matter.
