ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A Kingston labourer has been charged with theft with aggravation following a daring daytime theft through which a boy was reportedly held at gunpoint and robbed of his iPhone 11 in Spanish City on Saturday.
Jevon Richards, 27, was arrested and charged after the incident, which occurred about 10:30 a.m. on the intersection of Burke and Port Henderson Roads.
Studies from the Spanish City Police point out that the sufferer was strolling when Richards and one other man approached him, initiated a dialog, then allegedly pulled a firearm and demanded his belongings. The frightened teen complied, handing over his smartphone, valued at J$48,000.
Following investigations, Richards was arrested and later positively recognized in an identification parade. His court docket date is but to be finalized.
Police say the second suspect remains to be at giant and are urging anybody with info to return ahead.
