KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jermaine Findley of Rocky Hill, Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth has been charged with housebreaking and larceny after a collection of break-ins in Coral Spring Village, Trelawny earlier this month.
Findley was formally charged on September 16, following a dramatic pre-dawn incident that prompted a swift police response.
Early-Morning Intrusion
Based on the Falmouth police, about 3:50 a.m. a Coral Spring house owner was roused by a cellphone name and went to analyze noises inside his home. He reportedly found Findley in one of many rooms.
The accused allegedly fled when the alarm was raised, escaping with an undetermined sum of money and several other items of jewelry.
CCTV Proof and Arrest
Investigators later secured CCTV footage stated to position Findley on the scene. An intelligence-led operation that very same day led to his interception. Police recovered a gold bracelet and a marriage band, believed to be among the many stolen gadgets.
Awaiting Courtroom Date
Findley stays in custody whereas a date is being finalised for his first court docket look. Residents of Coral Spring have welcomed the arrest, saying it has restored calm to their usually peaceable neighborhood.
