    Lorraine Kelly reassures fans ahead of keyhole surgery

    TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has revealed that she must bear surgical procedure to take away her ovaries and fallopian tubes.

    The 65-year-old shared a video on social media from her hospital mattress on Saturday, saying she had not been “feeling all that properly for a short while”.

    The ITV host stated that the “wee process” was “purely preventative” and had been advisable after some scans and exams.

    Kelly added that she was “going to be completely nice” and praised hospital employees, saying she felt “very fortunate to be handled so properly” within the video’s caption.

    Kelly additionally thanked gynaecologist Dr Ahmed Raafat and hospital employees.

    The Scottish presenter was despatched well-wishes by fellow ITV colleagues Katie Piper, Charlotte Hawkins and Susanna Reid on Instagram, who wished her “a speedy restoration”.

    The process, referred to as an laparoscopic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, takes one to 2 hours and requires a number of extra hours of restoration in hospital.
