    Local sugar industry seeing influx of new investors – Green – Jamaica Inquirer

    In what’s reported to be a major growth, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Floyd Inexperienced, has introduced that Jamaica’s sugar business is attracting new buyers, with a brand new firm having already utilized to function in Clarendon.

    Talking on a TikTok stay stream on Thursday night time, Inexperienced mentioned the business has been “rightsized”, and is now ripe for personal sector funding.

    “We even have some new buyers coming into sugar (business)… I believe there is a chance in our sugar business now; essential, excellent alternative,” Inexperienced mentioned.

    “I believe our sugar business has been rightsized,” Inexperienced declared.

    He mentioned personal sector management and sustainable practices are essential for the business’s future success.

    He added that an organization has already utilized to function in Clarendon, and mentioned the Authorities is working intently with them to carry plans for the sugar business to fruition.
