    Kingston Higgler Charged with Illegal Firearm Possession Following Police Operation

    Kingston, Jamaica — A 22-year-old higgler, Quaitin Saunders, often known as ‘Previous Joe’, has been charged with a number of firearm-related offenses following his arrest throughout a police operation on Roselle Most important Highway, St Thomas, on Wednesday.

    Saunders, who resides at Plaza Highway, Kingston, and Blacksmith Lane, Seaforth, St Thomas, faces fees of:

    • Possession of a prohibited weapon

    • Dealing in prohibited weapons

    • Unauthorised possession of ammunition

    The arrest occurred round 7:40 a.m. throughout a vehicular checkpoint operation carried out by cops.

    In keeping with stories, Saunders was aboard a public passenger bus when the police seen him suspiciously inserting a bag between his toes. Upon looking out the bag, officers found:

    • One Taurus 9mm pistol

    • Three magazines

    • 30 rounds of ammunition

    Following the invention, Saunders was taken into custody and formally charged. He’s scheduled to seem earlier than the Morant Bay Parish Courtroom on Wednesday, April 2.

    Police officers have indicated that the operation was a part of ongoing efforts to crack down on the unlawful possession and trafficking of firearms within the parish. Investigations are persevering with as regulation enforcement seeks to find out whether or not Saunders is related to any broader felony networks.
