    Kingsland Man Fatally Shot in Police Confrontation

    MANCHESTER, Jamaica – A pre-dawn operation in Kingsland, Manchester, resulted within the deadly taking pictures of a person throughout an alleged confrontation with the police on Tuesday morning.

    The deceased has been recognized by the police as Orlando Clive Waite, also referred to as ‘Garth’, a resident of the Kingsland neighborhood.

    In keeping with police stories, the incident occurred someday between 2:00 am and three:00 am when a police staff performed an operation at a premises in Kingsland. Authorities said that Waite, who was reportedly armed, confronted the officers.

    Within the ensuing confrontation, the police opened fireplace, and Waite was struck. He was subsequently transported to a hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless. Police have confirmed {that a} firearm was seized on the scene.

    As is customary process in police-involved shootings, the Unbiased Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
