    Jealous Rage Sparks Machete Attack in St James

    MONTEGO BAY, St James — A home dispute reportedly erupted into violence after a lady requested for assist, leaving her injured in a machete assault, police say.

    Authorities allege that Gavin Seaton, enraged after the girl sought help from one other man, bodily assaulted her in her Mount Zion house on the night of November 4. The assault started with Seaton choking and putting the girl throughout her ribs and breasts, police reported.

    When the girl tried to flee, Seaton allegedly escalated the violence by brandishing a machete, chasing her by way of the yard and thrusting the weapon by way of a neighbour’s window in an try to achieve her. The sufferer managed to hunt refuge in a neighbour’s house.

    Seaton was arrested and appeared earlier than St James Parish Courtroom on Wednesday, the place he was granted bail of $150,000 with three sureties. Police proceed their investigation, with costs anticipated to incorporate assault and tried homicide.
