    Jamaica Bolsters Maritime Security with Japanese Patrol Boat Donation Amidst Declining Murder Rate

    Kingston, Jamaica – In a transfer to boost Jamaica’s nationwide safety capabilities, the island nation acquired three patrol boats from the Japanese authorities, a donation aimed toward curbing illicit actions at sea. This growth comes at a time when Jamaica stories a big 35.9 % discount in murders, in response to official statistics, with 191 homicides recorded between January 1 and April 5, 2025, in comparison with the identical interval final yr.
