    IRIE FM family and wider media fraternity mourning death of veteran broadcaster Bob Clarke

    The IRIE FM household and the broader media fraternity have been plunged into mourning, following the loss of life of veteran broadcaster and one in all IRIE FM’s founding members Bob Clarke.

    Mr Clarke who was awarded the Order of Distinction within the rank of Officer in 2018 for many years of contribution to Jamaican media handed away early this morning.

    He was 75.

    Bob Clarke was part of IRIE FM’s early administration group and hosted the favored Sunday afternoon programme Reminiscences till he left the corporate in 2020.

    That was Bob Clarke doing an outro to his programme on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

    He continued working in media after leaving the station.

    Talking to IRIE FM Information this morning Performing Managing Director of IRIE FM Brian Schmidt provided condolences to Clarke’s household and famous that he was pivotal to the creation of IRIE FM.

    Schmidt mentioned he was liked all through the corporate and by IRIE FM listeners.

    Within the meantime, Supervisor of Gross sales and Social Media at IRIE FM Nicholas Evans mentioned he’s grateful and fortunate to have recognized Bob Clarke.
