    INDECOM Probing Shooting Incident Involving Mentally Ill Man, Woman at Ewarton Police Station

    St Catherine, Jamaica — The Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched a probe right into a taking pictures incident on the Ewarton Police Station on Thursday night time, which left a person and a lady injured.

    Stories point out that round 7:57 p.m., a police officer was accumulating a press release from a person when a person, reportedly affected by psychological sickness, entered the station armed with a machete.

    The person allegedly attacked the officer, who responded by firing a single shot to defend himself. The bullet struck each the attacker and a lady who was within the reception space on the time.

    Each injured people have been rushed to the hospital for therapy. Their circumstances are usually not instantly identified.

    INDECOM is at the moment investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, together with the actions taken by the police officer.
