    Illegal Firearm Seized by Police Along Waltham Park Road

    ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A Smith & Wesson M&P pistol was recovered early Friday morning throughout a police operation alongside Waltham Park Street, close to the Chinese language Cemetery, due to the vigilance of patrolling officers.

    Stories are that round 3:09 a.m., police on routine patrol noticed two suspicious males inside the cemetery grounds. Upon noticing the police, the lads fled the realm, abandoning a brown leather-based bag.

    A search of the bag led to the invention of the Smith & Wesson pistol, together with two magazines. The weapon was seized and is now present process forensic processing as a part of an ongoing investigation.

    Police recommended the officers concerned, stating that the restoration was a results of their “alertness, diligence and tactical response.” Legislation enforcement continues its efforts to cut back the circulation of unlawful firearms throughout Jamaica.

    In a press release, the Jamaica Constabulary Power (JCF) urged the general public to help within the struggle in opposition to crime:

    “Unlawful firearms and those that site visitors them pose a transparent and current hazard to public security. We name on all Jamaicans to face united with us to rid our streets of weapons, ammunition and the people who’re bent on disturbing the peace, maiming lives and destroying the way forward for our nation.”

    Investigations are ongoing as police search to determine and find the lads who fled the scene.
