The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says that persistent rainfall in components of North Trinidad continues to have an effect on operations at among the Authority’s floor water remedy services.

Excessive turbidity attributable to heavy rainfall and clogged screens attributable to flooded river circumstances affected a number of services together with Guanapo, Mc David, La Pastora, Caura, Quare, Aripo, L&N, North Oropouche, Las Cuevas, Rincon, La Fillette, Blanchisseuse and Acono.

    Affected areas embrace:

    • Elements of Arima, Pinto Highway, Mt Nice, Calvary Hill
    • Surrey Village, components of Lopinot
    • El Dorado, Tacarigua, components of Tunapuna
    • Elements of Maracas, St Joseph
    • Santa Rosa Heights, Pinto Highway, components of Tumpuna Highway and Valencia
    • Maloney, Carapo, Malabar, 5 Rivers, Tumpuna, Sangre Grande, Manzanilla and environs
    • Las Cuevas, La Fillette and Blanchisseuse

The Authority will proceed to supply updates as each effort is being made to return these services to service on the earliest attainable time.
