    Haitian booked for abduction, rape, assault of woman in St James – Jamaica Inquirer

    Detectives from the St James Police Division have charged a Haitian nationwide with rape, forcible abduction, grievous sexual assault, and assault occasioning precise bodily hurt following an incident within the parish between Wednesday, April 16, and Thursday, April 17, 2025.

    Charged is Ezaie Simon of Dame Marie, Haiti.

    Experiences from the Montego Bay police are that Simon and different males forcibly took a girl from her relative’s home. They reportedly introduced her to bushes in a close-by neighborhood, the place she was overwhelmed and sexually assaulted by Simon.

    He later known as the girl’s relative and demanded Ja$500,000 for her return.

    On Friday, April 18, at about 8pm, Simon reportedly launched the girl.

    A report was subsequently made to the police, and Simon was arrested on Friday, April 25.

    He was formally charged on Tuesday, Might 6 following an identification parade.

    His court docket date is being finalised.
