ST. THOMAS, Jamaica – 5 males had been taken into custody following the seizure of roughly 1,800 kilos of ganja throughout a joint operation carried out by the Jamaica Defence Pressure Coast Guard and the police’s Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNIID) in St. Thomas.
The operation unfolded on the Bowden Wharf in Port Morant at roughly 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 19.
Experiences point out that the Coast Guard intercepted a fishing vessel carrying 5 people. A subsequent search of the vessel led to the invention of a considerable amount of ganja.
The 5 males had been subsequently arrested on suspicion of violating the Harmful Medication Act and are presently in police custody.
