Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Jamaica’s Fitz Bailey has been formally appointed because the Commissioner of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Drive (RTCIPF). The announcement was made on Thursday by the Governor’s Workplace, confirming his appointment for a three-year time period.
The choice follows a complete recruitment course of that included interviews performed by a Governor-chaired panel, enter from a separate group panel, and session with Premier Charles Misick.
Bailey, who joined the RTCIPF as Deputy Commissioner in October 2024, assumed the function of Performing Commissioner six weeks later, following the resignation of Edvin Martin.
Previous to his tenure within the Turks and Caicos Islands, Bailey served with the Jamaica Constabulary Drive (JCF) for over 40 years, retiring on the rank of Deputy Commissioner answerable for crime and safety.
His intensive legislation enforcement expertise spans a variety of areas, together with counter-terrorism, organized crime, intelligence, monetary fraud, and community-based policing initiatives.
