    Final batch of 124 linesmen arrive in island to assist JPS

    The ultimate batch of 124 abroad linesmen arrived within the island yesterday, bringing the entire contingent to 300.

    Vitality Minster Daryl Vaz famous that residents would have seen a rise within the variety of linesmen working to revive electrical energy and those that got here yesterday will probably be deployed to work alongside groups already in affected parishes.

    The abroad linesmen are aiding the Jamaica Public Service to revive energy to areas exhausting hit by Hurricane Melissa.

    Vaz famous that he will probably be working nonstop to make sure that electrical energy is restored to as many communities as rapidly as potential.

    He added that the barges with extra gear and instruments will arrive in Montego-Bay St James, on Saturday December 27 to additional speed up restoration efforts.

    The minister expressed appreciation to the JPS and contractors who will probably be working all through the vacations for the good thing about affected residents.

    Later immediately, at 10 AM, Vaz together with officers from the JPS for the launch of the empower unit in Treasure Seashore St. Elizabeth.

    He’ll then be part of JPS for a tour of the work going down in Black River.
