A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of St. Elizabeth.

The areas affected are: New City, Brompton, Hypothesis, Crawford, Hodges Land, Oxford, Spring Park, Cambridge, Fyffes Pen, Winery, Rice Piece, Cuffies Pen, Redding, Slipe and Thornton communities.

The curfew started at 6:00 P.M. yesterday and can stay in impact till 6:00 P.M. tomorrow.

The curfew in New City follows Saturday’s homicide which claimed the lifetime of 47-year-old Basil Bruce, a labourer of Zena Approach in New City.

In New City the boundaries embody West Road, Lovers Lane, Central Street and Trade Drive.

In the meantime the boundaries in Rice Piece and Cuffies Pen embody the Lacovia Predominant Street, Cuffies Again Street, Barton Wharf Street and Cuffies Pen Street.

All individuals inside the boundaries of the curfew are required to stay inside their premises, except licensed by the bottom commander.
