    Court Operations Suspended in St. Catherine South Following SOE Declaration

    Kingston, Jamaica: The Court docket Administration Division (CAD) has introduced the suspension of court docket issues scheduled for Thursday on the Spanish City and Previous Harbour courts in St. Catherine.

    This determination follows the declaration of a State of Public Emergency (SOE) in St. Catherine South on account of a latest surge in violent crime. The SOE was carried out within the wake of the deadly capturing of a reputed gang chief, Othneil Lobban, also called “Thickman,” in St. Andrew on Wednesday evening.

    “The protection of court docket customers, employees, and stakeholders stays a prime precedence,” said the CAD in a launch. “CAD is dedicated to making sure the continued administration of justice whereas taking crucial precautions to safeguard all people throughout the affected areas.”

    People with issues scheduled for the affected courts are suggested to contact the related court docket or the CAD at 876-586-9783 for additional info and rescheduled dates.

    The CAD expressed its appreciation for the general public’s understanding and cooperation throughout this era.
