Police in Kingston have charged a 22-year-old bus conductor following an incident during which one other man was allegedly injured throughout a violent altercation on Orange Road.
The accused, Brandon Rickets of Kingston 5, is going through a cost of wounding with intent arising from an incident reported to have occurred on January 20 in downtown Kingston.
In accordance with experiences from the Central Police Division, an argument between Rickets and one other man escalated right into a bodily confrontation at about 3:10 p.m. In the course of the dispute, Rickets is alleged to have used a screwdriver to stab the person.
The injured man was taken to hospital, the place he was admitted in severe situation.
Rickets was apprehended shortly after the incident and later recognized throughout an identification parade. He was subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session performed within the presence of investigators.
A courtroom date is now being finalised as investigations conclude.
