ST ANDREW, JAMAICA — Police have upgraded a capturing incident to a homicide investigation following the loss of life of a person who was attacked greater than two weeks in the past in Bull Bay.

The deceased has been recognized as 39-year-old Dwayne Dacres, a mechanic of the 12 Miles neighborhood in Bull Bay, St Andrew.

In response to reviews, Dacres was shot round 9:30 p.m. on June 5 by unknown assailants. The attackers reportedly fled the scene, leaving him severely wounded. He was rushed to Kingston Public Hospital, the place he remained in crucial situation for over two weeks.

He succumbed to his accidents on Monday, prompting police to reclassify the case as a murder.

The Yallahs Prison Investigations Department in St Thomas has since launched a full-scale homicide investigation into the incident. No arrests have but been made, and police are interesting to anybody with info to come back ahead.

The motive behind the assault stays unclear at the moment.
