A 24-year-old British man was remanded in custody after being allegedly caught with a stash of cocaine at Norman Manley Worldwide Airport in Kingston.

The accused has been recognized as Isun Shaka Haywood, a supply driver from London, England. Haywood is now going through a protracted checklist of significant prices, together with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, trying to export cocaine, and conspiracy to export cocaine.

Haywood, represented by lawyer Odane Marston, appeared earlier than the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Courtroom the place his bail utility was denied. He has been ordered to return to courtroom on October 16, 2025.

    The Allegations

Studies are that round 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 4, Haywood arrived on the Kingston airport making ready to board a flight destined for Toronto, Canada. Cops allegedly grew to become suspicious and interviewed him.

A search of his suitcase reportedly uncovered a number of rectangular packages containing a white powdery substance resembling cocaine.

The packages, weighing 10 kilos 6.21 ounces, had been seized and despatched to the federal government’s forensic lab, the place exams later confirmed the substance to be cocaine.

Haywood was arrested on suspicion of breaches of the Harmful Medication Act and later formally charged after a question-and-answer session with investigators.
