April 4 (UPI) — BP introduced Friday that Chair Helge Lund is being changed after he notified the corporate’s board that he would step down in 2026.
“Having essentially reset our technique, BP’s focus now’s on delivering the technique at tempo, bettering efficiency and rising shareholder worth. Now’s the correct time to begin the method to seek out my successor and allow an orderly and seamless handover,” Helge stated in a statement.
In February BP CEO Murray Auchincloss vowed to “reset” the corporate within the wake of a profit plunge from $14 billion in 2023 to $8.9 billion in 2024.
The succession search to interchange Helge is headed by Amanda Blanc, the BP board’s Senior Unbiased Director.
