    Attorney says Buchanan’s move to void election results not a waste of time

    Paul Buchanan’s Legal professional, Hugh Wildman has defended his consumer’s determination to hunt to have the September 3 election outcomes for West Central St. Andrew voided, noting that it isn’t a waste of time.

    Yesterday, the Supreme Courtroom refused Mr. Buchanan’s utility for a judicial overview of the Constituted Authority’s determination in relation to the outcome.

    Jamaica Labour Get together chief, Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness claimed the seat, after defeating Mr. Buchanan who ran on a Folks’s Nationwide Get together ticket.

    In searching for to have the election outcomes voided, Mr. Buchanan went to court docket claiming that there have been poll field irregularities, intimidation and voter suppression, amongst different points.

    He introduced the matter earlier than the Constituted Authority, which didn’t rule in his favour.

    Mr. Buchanan then filed an utility to hunt judicial overview of the Authority’s determination.

    Supreme Courtroom Choose Sonya Wint-Blair refused the appliance on Monday.

    Mr. Wildman has signalled his intention to attraction the choice.

    He mentioned Mr. Bunchanan has a robust case.

    Noting that some have criticised Mr. Buchanan’s determination to problem the election outcome Mr. Wildman argued that it’s a severe matter of public concern.
