    AR-15 Rifle Seized in St Andrew South Division Operation

    ST ANDREW, Jamaica – A joint operation carried out by Deputy Superintendent of Police Eucal Francis and his crew from the St Andrew South Division, together with members of the Jamaica Defence Pressure (JDF), resulted within the seizure of an AR-15 rifle within the Payneland and Delacree Lane communities.

    The operation, which came about on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, between 5:00 a.m. and eight:00 a.m., was a part of ongoing efforts to handle crime and violence within the space.

    Through the cordon-and-search operation, the high-powered weapon was found, although it was discovered and not using a journal. No arrests have been made in reference to the seizure.

    Investigations into the origin and possession of the firearm are presently ongoing. Authorities proceed to attraction to the general public for info which will help of their efforts to scale back unlawful firearms in the neighborhood.

    This seizure marks one other step in regulation enforcement’s marketing campaign to disrupt the circulate of unlawful weapons throughout the island.
