    Another Major Ammunition Seizure in Westmoreland, No Arrests Made

    Westmoreland, Jamaica – June 3, 2025 — Simply over 24 hours after a big contraband bust alongside the shoreline in Whitehouse, police in Westmoreland have made yet one more main discovery of unlawful ammunition.

    Based on experiences, between 11:00 a.m. and three:00 p.m. on Tuesday, regulation enforcement personnel carried out an intelligence-driven operation focusing on needed males. Through the search, officers stumbled upon a big cache of ammunition hid amongst dense vegetation alongside a hilly terrain.

    The invention included:

    • 501 rounds of 9mm ammunition
    • 82 rounds of 5.56 ammunition
    • 40 rounds of .38 ammunition

    Regardless of the numerous seizure, no arrests have been made in reference to the discover.

    The operation types a part of a continued crackdown by the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Department (C-TOC) aimed toward dismantling gun smuggling and trafficking networks working throughout the island.

    Police are urging members of the general public with any data that might help within the ongoing investigation to contact C-TOC at 876-967-1389, the Nationwide Intelligence Bureau at 811, Crime Cease at 311, or the closest police station.

    Authorities consider these back-to-back seizures could also be linked to bigger prison operations and have vowed to accentuate their efforts to trace down these accountable.
