Kingston, Jamaica – A 23-year-old American man was arrested on the Norman Manley Worldwide Airport on Saturday after authorities found ammunition in his possession throughout a routine safety test.
In accordance with police experiences, the suspect, a building employee from Connecticut, was stopped round 3:00 p.m. as a part of a stop-and-search operation on the airport. In the course of the search, officers discovered 4 hollow-point 9mm cartridges in his belongings.
He was instantly taken into custody on suspicion of unauthorized possession of ammunition.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
