    Alleged Gunman Killed in Spanish Town Police Operation

    SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine – A 24-year-old businessman was fatally shot by police on Monday afternoon in Eltham Park, Spanish City.

    The deceased has been recognized as Aidian McIntosh, often known as “Addi,” of Eltham Park.

    The incident occurred round 3:15 p.m. whereas a police patrol was within the space. Officers reported {that a} group of males in an unfinished home drew their consideration. As police approached, the lads dispersed, fleeing in varied instructions.

    McIntosh was pursued by the police and allegedly brandished a firearm, pointing it on the officers. The police reportedly took evasive motion and returned fireplace, injuring McIntosh. He was transported to the Spanish City Hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.

    A Glock 27 pistol with {a magazine} containing 5 rounds was reportedly recovered on the scene. Police have acknowledged that McIntosh was a member of a gang working within the parish.

    The Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the 1 capturing.
