    Alleged Gunman Killed in Linstead, Police Seize Illegal Firearm

    St Catherine, Jamaica – A police operation within the Mickleton Meadows group of Linstead resulted in tragedy early Tuesday morning after lawmen fatally shot an unidentified man throughout what they described as a confrontation.

    The Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) has since launched a probe into the incident, which occurred round 4:24 a.m.

    In accordance with police studies, the group was conducting an operation within the space once they have been allegedly challenged by a person armed with a handgun. Lawmen reportedly returned fireplace, injuring the suspect.

    He was taken to the Linstead Hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless.

    Through the operation, the police reportedly seized a Beretta pistol fitted with {a magazine} containing one spherical of ammunition. Authorities haven’t but confirmed the id of the deceased.

    Investigations into Tuesday’s incident stay ongoing.
