    Alleged Gunman in Christmas Day Double Murder Dies in Police Shootout

    SPANISH TOWN, St Catherine — An alleged suspect linked to the Christmas Day double homicide on March Pen Street was shot and killed throughout an early-morning confrontation with police in St Catherine.

    The deceased has been recognized as 43-year-old Damion McDonald, in any other case referred to as ‘Jilla’, an unemployed resident of March Pen Street.

    In response to police studies, round 12:20 a.m., officers appearing on intelligence linked to the Christmas Day killings went to Mocklenn Crescent looking for suspects. Upon getting into a residence and knocking on the again door, McDonald was reportedly seen holding a firearm, which he allegedly aimed on the officers.

    In response, police mentioned they opened hearth in self-defense. McDonald fell whereas clutching the weapon and was rushed to Spanish City Hospital, the place he was pronounced useless. The firearm was seized by authorities.

    The Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) and the Inspectorate of Skilled Requirements Oversight Bureau (IPSO) are at present probing the circumstances surrounding the taking pictures.
