    Information Americas, New York, NY, April 3, 2025: Afro-futurist artist and director Gianni Lee is pushing the boundaries of Caribbean music visuals with a daring new creation – an AI-assisted lyric video for the remix of Skip Marley’s “Shut,” that includes Jamaican dancehall heavyweights Ding Dong and Masicka. The futuristic visible expertise premiered at this time on the Tuff Gong TV YouTube channel and accompanies the observe’s launch through Tuff Gong Worldwide/Def Jam Recordings.

    “For the Skip Marley visible, I used AI in an deliberately inventive manner – breaking down live-action footage, display grabs, and located video to create a mosaic of animated, transferring pictures,” Lee mentioned. “The muse was rooted in actual, tangible visuals that I shot or sourced, then processed frame-by-frame by superior AI prompts. It wasn’t about pattern or comfort – —it was about intention and imaginative and prescient.”

    Lee, who is well known for his signature Afro-futurist symbolism and daring, dystopian storytelling, handled AI not merely as a software, however as a collaborator—an extension of his inventive course of.

    “I storyboarded this like every conventional movie. Then, I layered it with inventive manipulation. The ultimate end result feels extra like a transferring portray than a standard video,” he added. “This challenge was about pushing what’s potential with new instruments whereas staying grounded in narrative and emotion.”
