Oct. 9, 2025: A brand new chapter in Caribbean tourism is being written within the Caribbean islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The Authorities of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Sandals Resorts International, (SRI) have signed a landmark settlement for the development of a US$500 million, (EC$1.35 billion) Seashores Resort at Mount Wynne – the biggest single tourism funding within the nation’s historical past.

    The upcoming 500-room Seashores St. Vincent and the Grenadines Resort will redefine family-friendly, all-inclusive luxurious on the island’s scenic leeward coast. Designed to cater to households, teams, and multi-generational vacationers, the event marks a daring step in increasing the nation’s tourism infrastructure and international visibility.

    In-built phases, the challenge is anticipated to create almost 2,000 direct jobs throughout its operational part, providing coaching and employment alternatives for Vincentians throughout hospitality, development, agriculture, tradition, and supporting industries. The resort is scheduled to open in 2027.

    Carlos James, Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Improvement and Tradition, hailed the funding as a milestone for nationwide progress:

    “This funding is a game-changer for St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It represents confidence in our tourism sector and within the Vincentian individuals — their expertise, resilience, and hospitality. The Seashores Resort will open doorways to hundreds of latest jobs, stimulate native enterprise, and place our nation as a hub for sustainable, family-oriented tourism.”

    James added that the event displays the federal government’s imaginative and prescient of a tourism trade that drives inclusive financial progress, empowers communities, and celebrates the nation’s pure and cultural heritage.

    The challenge follows the profitable opening of Sandals St. Vincent and the Grenadines in March 2023, deepening the partnership between the Authorities and Sandals Resorts Worldwide. The alliance continues to strengthen St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ profile as one of many area’s rising tourism powerhouses.

    Tourism officers say the Seashores growth is a part of a broader tourism renaissance now underway, with 4 main resort tasks reshaping the nation’s hospitality panorama.
