    INDECOM Investigates Fatal Police Shooting in St. Andrew

    St. Andrew, Jamaica – The Impartial Fee of Investigations (INDECOM) is at the moment investigating the circumstances surrounding the deadly police taking pictures of a 30-year-old man in Ambrook Lane, St. Andrew.

    The deceased has been recognized as Romario Hunter, also referred to as ‘Rooster’, a resident of the group.

    Based on preliminary experiences, a police crew entered a premises in Ambrook Lane round 5:50 a.m. on Monday after they have been allegedly confronted by Hunter.

    A confrontation ensued, leading to Hunter being fatally shot.

    Following the incident, police recovered a Glock pistol with {a magazine} containing 4 rounds of nine-millimetre cartridges from the scene.

    Hunter was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.

    INDECOM has initiated an investigation into the incident, as is commonplace process in all instances involving the usage of deadly power by regulation enforcement officers.
