    Police nab 61-year-old man for shooting in St. Thomas nearly 20 years ago

    After practically 20 years on the run, a 61-year-old man needed for a 2006 taking pictures in St. Thomas was arrested and charged on Wednesday.

    He has been recognized as Collin Mowatt, in any other case known as ‘tumpa’ or ‘tumpa dragon’.
    Reviews point out that at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, Mowatt allegedly approached a lady with two firearms and shot her earlier than fleeing the parish.

    In December 2025, police in St. Ann intercepted Mowatt in reference to one other firearm-related case.

    Additional investigations and forensic proof led detectives to execute a warrant for Mowatt within the 2006 taking pictures.

    He was charged with taking pictures with intent, wounding with intent, unlawful possession of firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

    Commanding Officer for St. Thomas, Deputy Superintendent Rohan Ritchie, lauded the efforts of the police in apprehending Mowatt after so a few years on the run.

    Mowatt is to look earlier than the court docket on March 6.
