A 23-year-old student-athlete from Jamaica has died following a stabbing incident in Jefferson Metropolis, Missouri.
Kevaughn Goldson, a Kingston native and monitor and area athlete at Lincoln College, was discovered with a number of stab wounds after police responded to a reported home disturbance early Tuesday morning. Officers with the Jefferson Metropolis Police Division arrived on the residence and found Goldson affected by accidents to his chest and again.
He was transported to College Hospital for emergency therapy however later succumbed to his accidents throughout surgical procedure.
Authorities arrested 27-year-old Denita Atiyah Jackson in reference to the incident. Investigators say Jackson informed detectives that she and Goldson had been concerned in a troubled relationship and that the deadly stabbing occurred throughout a confrontation.
Jackson has been charged with second-degree homicide and armed felony motion. The investigation stays ongoing.
